In a little under two weeks, Richmond, VA will be within the groovy grips of some of the biggest names and brightest stars from the SmoothGroove Universe. Fourplay, Peter White, Gerald Albright, The Rippingtons, Maysa, Pieces of A Dream...and that's just the tip of the groove-burg.
August 12-14 are the official dates for the 2011 Richmond Jazz Festival at the beautiful Maymont Park. Tickets are still available and if all goes well I may be able to hook up a few SGR listeners.
